PURPOSE:To obtain a system resistant to noise generated suddenly, by correcting a data word when an error is detected only in one data block, and issuing the resend request of the data word when errors are detected in plural data blocks. CONSTITUTION:A transmission data is divided into the data word of a prescribed number of bits, and the data word is arranged in a prescribed number of strings in the sequence of generation, and a parity word is transmitted with a slow modem 8. Also, the data word is transmitted by using a fast modem 8 in a state where an error detecting code is attached on the data word in the unit of data block selected and formed in a direction orthogonal to the arrangement of the data word. At a reception side, the error generated in a reception data is detected based on the error detecting code, and when the error is detected only in one data block, the parity word is referred, and the data word in which the error is generated is corrected, and when the errors are detected in plural data blocks, the resending of the data word is requested.
