PURPOSE:To speed up fixing and to prevent caking during storage by incorporating a specific urethane compd. into a toner. CONSTITUTION:The reaction product of a compd. having >=1 -NCO groups (e.g.: hexamethylene diisocyanate) and monoalcohol (e.g.: ethyl alcohol) and/or the reaction product of a compd. having >=2 -OH groups and monoisocyanate is incorporated as a binder into the toner for thermal fixing. The above- mentioned reaction products are all the urethane compd. of a low mol.wt. Said compd. melts instantaneously and decreases its viscosity sharply when heated but is the solid of high hardness at an ordinary temp. Efficient fixing at a high speed is, therefore, executed and the toner with which caking hardly arises during storage is obtd. |
