PURPOSE:To suppress the abnormal light flux reduction by constituting part of an amalgam supporter sealed in the glass fine tube of a stem together with an amalgam with a metal or a metal compound and bringing this metal or metal compound into contact with the amalgam. CONSTITUTION:A luminous tube 1 having a bent shape is connected to a choke stabilizer 2 and a lighting tube 3 and incorporated into an envelope made of a case 5 with a base 4 and a globe 6. Stems 7 are sealed on both end sections of the lighting tube 1, and electrodes 9 are held via lead wires 8. An amalgam 11 made of Bi-In-Hg to restrict the mercury vapor pressure during lighting and an amalgam supporter 12 made of a metal or a metal compound are sealed in the glass fine tube 10 of one stem 7. In addition, an auxiliary amalgam 13 is provided on one of two pairs of lead wires 8 respectively. Accordingly, the contact section of the nickel bar of the amalgam supporter with the amalgam serves as a core to accelerate crystallization, and the abnormal light flux reduction can be suppressed.
