PURPOSE:To fix and record the angle of rotation of picture information to be recorded on a sheet of recording paper and to easily handle a vertical type and a horizontal type images, by storing the picture information read with an arbitrary angle of rotation in a storage means, and judging a prescribed angle of rotation by the angle of rotation of stored picture information. CONSTITUTION:The picture information read with the arbitrary angle of rotation by the scanner 20 of an image processing device is stored in a display memory 15 in a memory module 10, and the prescribed angle of rotation is judged at an image processing module 30 with the angle of rotation of the picture information recorded on the memory 15. The picture information is rotated at a vertical/horizontal conversion circuit 35 with a decided angle of rotation, and the picture information rotated at the conversion circuit 35 is outputted to a printer interface 38. The picture information outputted from the interface circuit 38 is supplied to a printer 25, and is recorded on the sheet of recording paper of the printer 25 with fixing the angle of rotation, thereby, the picture information with the arbitrary angle of rotation inputted in the vertical and the horizontal types is recorded fixedly.
