PURPOSE:To estimate a reproducing color beforehand and to squarely look the change of the reproducing color, by driving a filter moving mechanism on the basis of the output of a color masking means and performing control so that the ratio of the white light passing through each transparent color filter relatively changes with respect to the corresponding color signal output. CONSTITUTION:A color masking circuit 102 applies color correction to the three-color signals (C1, M1, Y1) from the original to output recording color signals (C2, M2, Y2) to a color printer 103. In a toning part 105, the color signals (C2, M2 Y2) are inputted to micropulse motors 105-1-3 to drive feed mechanism 105-4-6. The feed mechanisms 105-4-6 are mounted to filter holding frames 105-7-9 and three transparent color filters 105-10-12 movable in the frames are allowed to slide. These three transparent color filters 105-10-12 respectively slide by the quantities proportional to the signals (C2, M2, Y2) to be controlled so that the color filters occupy the window areas of a unit area provided to the filter holding frames 105-7-9 by the ratios corresponding to the area ratios (p, q, r) just mentioned above with respect to said transparent windows. |
