PURPOSE:To effectively sensitize a sensitive material and to improve the stability to a change in conditions during development by incorporating specified polyalkylene oxide and polyol. CONSTITUTION:Polyalkylene oxide represented by the formula and polyol having >=40 deg.C m.p. and two or more hydroxyl groups, e.g., 2,2-dimethyl-1,3-propanediol are incorporated into a sensitive material. In the formula, each of A and B is H or a substituent group such as sulfonic acid or carboxy, (p) is an integer of 15-20 and each of (m) and (n) is an integer satisfying (m+n)/p=0.24-0.41. A sensitive material which is effectively sensitized and has superior stability to a change in conditions during development is obtd. The fog of the emulsion of the sensitive material is hardly increased during storage. |
