PURPOSE:To easily manufacture the title slurry of high concentration and good quality, by performing the arithmetic operation of control input for automatic control, based on the results of analysis, using a membership function relating to objects for measurement and objects of operation and a rule of fuzzy control, which have been prepared in advance. CONSTITUTION:In the method of automating the operation for the manufacture of a coal/water slurry by using signals indicating the results of analysis of, e.g., the particle size, viscosity, and concentration of the coal/water slurry, control devices for quality control are used to perform fuzzy control. Ambiguity is expressed in advance corresponding to the deviation from target values concerning analysis data as the input to the control for quality control, and control input as the output. More particularly, a membership function for each of these variables is prepared, a rule of the operating procedures for operators is then defined, and a rule of fuzzy control is made in advance. These membership function and rule of fuzzy control are used to perform the arithmetic operation of control input for automatic control based on the results of analysis. This technique enables easy manufacture of a coal/water slurry of high concentration and good quality. |
