PURPOSE:To reduce connection loss by arraning a ferrule for optical fibers on the other side on one surface of a 2nd holder and relartively sliding the 1st and 2nd holders. CONSTITUTION:The titled switch is provided with a switch body including the 1st and 2nd holders so as to relatively slide them while opposing one plane of the 1st holder 1 to that of 2nd holder 2, an exciting means (spring) 7 included at least in one of the 1st and 2nd holders 1, 2 to press a held ferrule against to its opposed ferrule 10 and a sliding means (switching button) 14 included in the switch body to relatively slide the 1st and 2nd holder 1, 2. The 1st holder 1 arranging the ferrule 5 for optical fibers on one side on its surface and the 2nd holder arranging the ferrule 10 for optical fibers on the other side on its surface are relatively slided. Consequently, both the ferrules 5, 10attached to the connection ends of the optical fibers are directly switched and connected, only one connection part is adopted between the optical fibers on both the sides and its connection loss can be reduced. |
