The method is for erecting a box around goods located on a flat box-blank (12) which comprises a bottom panel joined with two bottom side-panels and with two main side-panels having respective glue flaps joined to it. The method comprises advancing box-blanks successively onto a deck of a box-erecting station, raising the glue flaps to a desired final position, and raising the main side-panels to a desired final position with the aid of erecting tools and mounted for movement between a raised and a lowered position. The partially erected box is moved to a gluing station while supporting the main side-panels and the glue flaps in the desired final positions. The bottom side-panels are raised into contact with the glue flaps by gluing plates and the side-panels are bonded to the glue flaps. |
