A connection between a fastener shank and conductive fibres in a plane perpendicular to the shank axis comprises a self-locking nut with a coaxial frustoconical part abutting the fibres. The surface of the part is pref. at 50 deg. to the axis and the opposite sides subtend an angle of 85-100 deg. In partic., the connection provides a double-countersink fastener for ensuring electrical connection between two graphite-epoxy laminate panels (12, 14) the fastener (22) having a countersunk head in one panel and a titanium shank (16) extending through both and carrying the nut (33) with its frustoconical part (35) embedded in the second panel. |
