The sun roof 1 comprises a supporting structure fixed to an aperture 2 in the vehicle roof, a main part 5 slidable beneath the roof to open or close the aperture 2 and a front part 6 tiltable upwardly to prevent the direct entry of air into the aperture. Means 38, 35 slidable along each side of the roof, operated by a respective cable (55 Fig. 5) controls the position of the main part and mechanically cooperates with actuation means for the front deflector to cause opening or closing of the latter in the closure position of the main part, the actuation means including a pair of links 20, 24 pivoted together at one end and respectively pivoted to the deflector and the supporting structure at a respective opposite end. <IMAGE>
