It is proposed to use an adjustment slide as an adjustment device for adjusting the axial distance between the adjustment plate and the cutting edge of the revolving blade, which adjustment slide is mounted on the blade support so as to be rotatable about the axis of rotation of the blade and has a cam extension against which there rests a supporting extension of the adjustment plate. A pot-shaped toothed wheel which is open at the bottom is preferably connected to the blade, the supporting extension projecting into the said toothed wheel and interacting with the cam extension of the adjustment slide which is at least partly arranged therein. The blade, the toothed wheel and the adjustment slide preferably form a blade assembly which is fastened to the blade support in an easily releasable fashion. The adjustment slide can serve as a bearing for the revolving blade. <IMAGE>
