PURPOSE:To provide a primer for a cyanoacrylate which enables simple and quick bonding to a resin having high crystallinity or a nonpolar resin and which comprises an org. phosphine compd. having a benzene ring as an active ingredient. CONSTITUTION:An alpha-cyanoacrylate to be used in bonding is pretreated with a primer comprising an org. phosphine compd. as an active component. Specific examples of the org. phosphine compd. include phenylphosphine and bisdiphenylphosphinomethane. The org. phosphine compd. is preferably used in the form of a solution in an organic solvent (e.g., toluene). This enables excellent bonding to a resin having high crystallinity or a nonpolar resin, such as polyethylene terephthalate and polypropylene, which could not successfully be bonded with the alpha-cyanoacrylate.
