PURPOSE:To easily perform maintenance and inspection, by operating an inverter-controlled electric motor-driven pump system so that the total sum of load current in a pump-driving electric motor, directly operated by an AC power source, is controlled to a fixed value. CONSTITUTION:An electric motor-driven pump system, comprising an induction motor 8 and a pump 10, is directly driven by an AC power source 1. An electric motor-driven pump system, comprising an induction motor 7 and a pump 9, forms a variable speed operated pump system controlled by an inverter 2. The inverter 2 is controlled so that a load current of the electric motor 8 is equalized to a preset value by a current setter 4 by a current regulator 3. Accordingly, the improvement of economical efficiency and the simplification of maintenance and inspection are promoted in accordance with the omission of a pump delivery pressure detector.
