PURPOSE:To enhance the physical properties of a flame spraying film to a large extent, in a coating apparatus using a detonation flame spraying method, by providing a control apparatus for measuring the flame spraying distance between the coating apparatus and the surface of an object to receive flame spraying and controlling the same to a desired value. CONSTITUTION:A detonation flame spraying apparatus consists of a flame spraying powder supply system 1, a combustion gas supply system 2, an ignition apparatus 3, a flame spraying torch 4 and an object 5 to receive flame spraying. In addition to this constitution, a distance sensor 7a directly measuring the flame spraying distance between the flame spraying torch 4 and the surface of the object 5 to receive flame spraying is arranged. The distance sensor 7a measures the flame spraying distance and the signal thereof is inputted to an operation part 7b. The operation part 7b operates the difference between the measured value and a desired value and inputs a signal of control quantity necessary for setting the optimum value to a flame spraying distance control drive part 7. By this method, the object 5 to receive flame spraying is moved by the distance corresponding to the measured distance to control the flame spraying distance to the optimum value. |
