PURPOSE:To eliminate a calcination stage among stages for producing ferrite, by spraying a mixture of aq. solns. of chlorides of metals constituting the components of ferrite including Zn into a fluidized roasting furnace, taking out powdery oxides generated by the thermal cracking of the sprayed soln. mixture together with cracked gas from the top of the cracking furnace, and collecting the oxide powder. CONSTITUTION:A mixture of aq. solns. contg. FeCl3, ZnCl2, and either one of MnCl2, nickel chloride or magnesium chloride is prepd. The mixture of the aq. solns. is sprayed into a fluidized roasting furnace having a fluidizing bed held at >=600 deg.C, and powder of oxides generated by the thermal cracking is taken out of the top of the furnace together with the cracked gas and the oxide powder is collected by a dust collector. The temp. of the fluidized bed is pref. in a range between >=600 deg.C and below the boiling point of ZnCl2. |
