1345909 Blow-moulding apparatus RHEINMETALL GmbH 23 April 1971 [25 April 1970] 11103/71 Heading B5A Blow-moulding apparatus comprises an extruder which is pivotable in the horizontal plane and has a vertical extrusion head and blowmoulds beneath the arc described by the extruder, the mould halves being movable in the horizontal plane for opening and closing along an axis intersecting the vertical pivot axis of the extruder. As shown in Fig. 1, an extruder 1 having a vertical extrusion head 2 is mounted on a column 5 for raising and lowering and pivoting in the horizontal plane. Mould halves 7a, 7b are opened and closed by hydraulic jacks 6a, 6b, all mounted on clamping frame 8 which also carries a blowing mandrel 9. A device 11 grips and separates the tubular extrudate and guides it between mould halves 7a, 7b. A further moulding frame (81, Fig. 2, not shown) is provided for alternate operation with the first, the extruder pivoting therebetween. The extruder may have a plurality of die heads. |
