PURPOSE:To regulate a water temperature in a bathtub automatically to a low temperature condition in accordance with the choice of a bathing person when the water temperature is higher than a set temperature, by a me thod wherein a desired water temperature is set in a proper temperature setter and a circulating pump is driven by the control operation of a controller until the detecting value of a water temperature detector is reduced to the set proper temperature to cool circulating water, which moves through a circulating system formed by the bathtub and a circulating passageway, by a heat exchanger. CONSTITUTION:When the detecting value of a water temperature detector 19 is lower than the set value of a proper temperature setter 18, a controller 20 drives a circulating pump 12, a heating device 16 and a ventilating device 17 to heat circulating water in a heat exchanger 18 and control a water temperature in a bathtub so as to increase the temperature thereof to a proper temperature. On the other hand, when the detecting value of the water temperature detector 19 is higher than a set value in the proper temperature setter 18, the circulating pump 12 and the ventilating device 17 are driven to cool the circulating water forcibly in the heat exchanger 13 and control the water temperature in the bathtub so as to reduce the temperature of water in the bathtub to the proper temperature.
