The invention relates to a novel pin structure for an electric plug (male connector). This pin 2 includes a large-diameter head 21 and a conducting shank 22 having a diameter less than this head and which includes a hole 221 making it possible to insert an electrical wire which is held firmly clamped in position by compressively flattening the shank in the region of this hole. This flattened end of the shank being able to interact with a member having the shape of a pinion 222a located near one end of the conducting shank and inserted into a shell (housing) of the plug (male connector). Application especially to electric power plugs (male connectors) having high electrical conduction and a long useful lifetime. <IMAGE>
