For fixing the parking meter (1), there is a retaining bar (7) which passes through the post (3) and is suspended on the seat (5) of the post (3) and which fixes the parking meter (1) by its upper end (10) to the post (3). This support can easily be mounted since only a single connection at the upper end (10) of the retaining bar (7) has to be made.
