The invention relates to a process for preparing sprayed mortar or sprayed concrete, in which a dry mixture consisting of cement and aggregates is used and a system for carrying out the process. To prepare the sprayed mortar or sprayed concrete, also with the addition of plastic-based additives, continuously with a guaranteeable quality, it is provided according to the invention that the single-component or multicomponent plastic-based additive is added to the dry mixture in a precisely metered manner, continuously, during horizontal mixing and conveying and is thus mixed homogeneously with the dry mixture to a slightly moist consistency and that only then is the binder water applied or introduced, in a controllable amount in the spray nozzle of the spray machine from the outside, onto or into the emerging sprayed mortar or sprayed concrete, the entire process sequence being constantly monitored in every respect.
