A compound of the formula: <CHEM> in which R is OH, C1-C3 alkoxy or R<3>-N-R<4>; Rf is C1-C3 perfluoroalkyl; R<1> is hydrogen, C1-C6 alkyl (including cycloalkyl) or optionally substituted phenyl; R<2> is hydrogen or C1-C3 alkyl; n is an integer of 0 to 2; R<3> is hydrogen, C1-C6 alkyl (including cycloalkyl) or C1-C6 alkenyl; R<4> is C1-C6 alkyl (including cycloalkyl), optionally substituted phenylalkyl where the alkyl moiety contains 1 to 3 carbons, optionally substituted phenyl or (C1-C3)alkoxycarbonyl (C1-C3) alkyl; or R<3> and R<4> together with the nitrogen atom to which they are attached form a cyclic amino group, the compound optionally being as a salt thereof. Processes for preparing the compound (I) and herbicides containing the compound (I) are also disclosed.
