PURPOSE:To improve the adhesion of an Al (alloy) substrate to ink and the corrosion resistance by coating the substrate with an aq. soln. contg. a silane coupling agent or further contg. a fluorine compd. of Ti and Zr or alcohol so as to form a base film. CONSTITUTION:An Al (alloy) substrate is coated with an aq. soln. contg. a silane coupling agent or further contg. a fluorine compd. of Ti and Zr or alcohol and the coated substrate is dried to form a base film for painting. The silane coupling agent is an org. silicon monomer having two or more different reactive groups in the molecule. The reactive groups bond chemically to inorg. and org. substances. The base film contg. the silane coupling agent improves the adhesion of the substrate to ink.
