<p>PURPOSE:To reduce load on a processing, by dividing a reading plane into partial reading ranges in a coordinate reader incorporating a display device, and setting a coordinate value output deciding condition at every reading range. CONSTITUTION:When a point P in a menu area 11 is inputted, firstly, an operator depresses a switch after fitting a coordinate indicator to the point P. And a detected coordinate value (c) detected at this time is applied on the decision of an area and that of a reading mode. In an example in figure, since both decision are satisfied, it is outputted as an output coordinate value (f). Meanwhile, when the switch is continued to be depressed at the point P, the detected coordinate value (c) satisfies a range condition, but not the reading mode, therefore, no output is present. Thus, in the menu area 11, only one point of the coordinate value at a moment when the switch of the coordinate indicator is depressed is outputted.</p> |
