PURPOSE:To easily execute the system tuning of timer monitoring time by controlling the timer monitoring time in I/O control processing to the optimum value of a program in accordance with the constitution or state of a system. CONSTITUTION:The automatic optimizing system for timer monitoring time in I/O control processing is constituted of an I/O instruction generating means 1, an I/O completion interruption processing means 2, an I/O time recording means 3, a time over frequency recording means 4, and a timer monitoring time changing means 5. At the time of being called from the means 2, the means 4 adds the time over frequency and records the added result. At the time of being called from the means 4, the means 5 checks the I/O time recorded in the means 3 and changes the timer monitoring time.
