PURPOSE:To accurately form layout data by converting character type data and graphic data into digital data, registering the digital data and correcting these data based on an assigned original. CONSTITUTION:A character type display control means 1a displays character types successively on a display device 3 based on copy size information inputted from a copy size input means 4. The displayed character types are temporarily stored in a character type storing means 1b, read out along a guide line by a guide line drawing means 1c, aligned by an assignment display control means 1d, and displayed on the display device 3. Plural character types displayed on the display device 3 are simultaneously positioned by a character type arrangement adjusting means 1e based on drawer data. After completing the positioning, the character type data and the drawer data are registered in a layout data storing means 2. A drawn information correcting means 1f adjusts the arrangement of graphic data or character position data.
