<p>This new polyphase structure is prepared by kneading (A) an aliphatic polyamide (30-60 wt.%) (B) a polyphenylene ether (35-55 wt.%) and (C) an A-B-A' type diene block copolymer (5-20 wt.%), where A and A' are the same or different polymerised vinyl aromatic hydrocarbon blocks, and B is a polymerised conjugated diene block. The weight % of (A), (B) and (C) must be kept at the concentration specified above and the total weight is 100. In the polyphase structure the aliphatic polyamide (A) forms a matrix phase, the polyphenylene ether (B) forms a primary dispersed phase, and the diene block copolymer (C) forms a secondary dispersed phase in the primary phase. (A) can be nylon 6, nylon 66, nylon 610 etc. (B) can be poly (2,6-dimethyl-1,4-phenylene) ether, poly (2,6-diethyl-1,4-phenylene) ether etc. (C) can have polystyrene blocks for A,A' and polybutadiene blocks for C etc.</p> |
