Fertilizer contg chloride and ammonium nitrate - protected from autocombustion by addn of ammonium sulphate

A compound fertilizer is mixed with 3-25% by wt. of (NH4)SO4, together with sufficient potassium & phosphate so as to maintain the desired fertilizer compsn. at the same time increasing the proportion of water-sol. phosphate to 30-70% of total phosphate. The addn. may be made at any stage of the mfr. & by-product (NH4)2SO4 may be used.
