SURFACE TREATMENT OF FLOORING

PURPOSE:To provide a surface coated layer which is as hard as to be scratch- free and is hardly slippable to wood flooring by incorporating hard powder particles into a resin to generate ruggedness on the surface of a coated film in coating the resin on the surface of the flooring. CONSTITUTION:A base material which is plywood or the like is decorated with a decorative veneer 2. A primer coating layer 3 is formed on the veneer 2 and a finish coating layer 4 is formed thereon. The hard powder particles of alumina or silicon carbide is incorporated into the paint resin prior to said finish coating. The hard powder particles are preferably incorporated in a powdery or pasty state therein. The preferable grain size thereof is about 10-30mu and the ratio of the incorporation is about 1-30wt.%. The ruggedness is thereby physically generated on the surface of the layer 4 and, therefore, hardly slipperable layer is obtd. The preferable hardness of the resin coated layer is about HB pencil hardness.
