PURPOSE:To improve weatherability by using a curable paint which consists essentially of a nonaqueous dispersion consisting of a copolymer of a perfluoroalkyl group-contg. (meth)acrylic monomer and hydroxyl group-contg. monomer as a dispersion stabilizer to a top clear paint. CONSTITUTION:A metallic pigment-contg. base paint is formed of an org. solvent type paint or nonaqueous dispersion type paint and the transparent top clear paint thereon is formed of the curable paint which consists of the nonaqueous dispersion consisting of the copolymer contg. the perfluoroalkyl group-contg. (meth)acrylic monomer and hydroxyl group-contg. monomer expressed by the formula CH2=C(R)-COO-(CH2)n-Rf (R is H or methyl group, n is 1-11 integer, Rf is the straight chain or branching chain perfluoroalkyl group of 1-2C) as the dispersion stabilizer. As a result, the weatherability of the coated film is improved and the finish appearance, etc., are improved, and are maintained for a long period.
