PURPOSE:To select and reproduce a telephone message in accordance with ID information with a user by receiving and storing the ID information concerning the message with the form a of the dial number besides a telephone message from transmitting person. CONSTITUTION:When a telephone call is coming, a telephone line is changed over from a telephone set 4 to a personal computer 13 side by a network control unit NCU1 and a message for an absence stored in an external memory device 7 is transmitted to an opponent. Here, the opponent having an ID is accelerated to input the ID, and when the opponent inputs an ID number, the ID information is transmitted to a CPU 5, and the date, time and telephone message from a built-in timer are stored into an external memory device 7 related to the ID. When an operator instructs from a keyboard 9, the telephone message is fetched from the external memory device 7 to a main memory 6 in the sequence of the ID and next, the sound reproduction is executed with the telephone set 4.
