PURPOSE:To obtain a composite membrane having a high separation coefficient by forming a porous supporting membrane from a resin soln. contg. polyethyleneimine and allowing the polyethyleneimine soln. to react with a polyfunctional cross-linking agent on the supporting membrane. CONSTITUTION:A composite membrane is produced by firstly forming a microporous supporting membrane from a resin soln. consisting of resin being an essential component of the supporting membrane, polyethyleneimine (PEI) and a solvent or the like and impregnating the supporting membrane with the PEI soln. and then allowing a multifunctional cross-linking agent to react therewith. As the production of the supporting membrane a wet film forming method wherein the resin soln. is allowed to gel in a coagulating bath to form the membrane is used. As a method for impregnating the microporous supporting membrane with the PEI soln., an immersion method, a casting method and a spraying method, etc., can be used. The multifunctional cross-linking agent is a compd. for performing cross-linking polymerization by allowing it to react with PEI or modified PEI and the contact of the supporting membrane impregnated with PEI and the cross-linking agent soln. is ordinarily performed by the immersion method. |
