[Also in Division B8] In a process for wrapping annular articles between a pair of sheets (see Division B8), the article 1 to be wrapped together with the sheets is supported upon an annular support 4 between an upper, fixed, non-heated, pair of concentric welding dies 6 and a lower, movable heated pair of dies 5. In operation, the support and the lower dies are raised at such a relative speed that the welding and cutting occurs at the mid-plane of the article. Each die 6 includes an electrical resistance wire and around all the dies a strip of P.T.F.E. is wound. |
