The invention relates to a floor gulley having a discharge vessel with base and vertical or lateral outlet and at least one top-side inlet opening, and having an inserted odour seal which exhibits an inner discharge pipe piece and an odour-seal bell which is plugged therein in an overlapping manner. In the case of known floor gulleys, the odour-seal level corresponding to standard requirements is not achieved in the inserted odour seal where the floor is of low thickness. According to the invention this is, in contrast, achieved in a simple manner in that the discharge pipe piece is fitted such that it stands on the base of the discharge vessel, and an opening which leads to the outlet and is located in the base is sealed with respect to the interior of the discharge vessel.
