Additive granules which are added to the plastic granules during injection moulding, blow moulding, extrusion, thermoforming or the like have hitherto been produced in extruders at temperatures from 180 to 220@C by compression. The high temperatures and pressures are only controllable using complex equipment. Furthermore, some of the additives are already activated at these temperatures, so that their full performance is no longer available during processing with the plastic. After the mixing of the additives necessary for the particular use with a support material/binder which already becomes active at a temperature significantly below 100@C, compression is carried out at a temperature significantly below 100@C. This pressing can be carried out in a significantly smaller apparatus with a significantly lower energy requirement. Since the temperature is below 100@C, the additives are not yet activated, so that their full perforamnce remains available for processing with the plastic. Preparation of additive granules.
