<p>An aq. soln. of an alkali metal or ammonium salt of a mono- or poly-basic acid is used for removing a layer of a viscous processing agent used for processing an exposed photographic material with gelatino-Ag halide emulsion coat(s). This ensures rapid and complete removal of the paste, which is used in rapid photographic processing instead of aq. baths, and is not detrimental to the mechanical or photographic properties of the material. Salts of inorganic acids are pref., Na2SO4 being esp. cheap and effective.</p> |
