<p>A lock cylinder with mechanical and electromagnetic locking mechanisms, comprising a lock cylinder stator having a mechanical locking mechanism, a bolt movably mounted in a groove in the stator, and a lock cylinder rotor rotatably coupled to the stator and engaged by the mechanical locking mechanism. An electrical control mechanism controls movement of the bolt. A retaining mechanism coupled to the rotor releasably engages the bolt to permit and prevent movement between the stator and the rotor depending on the position of the bolt.</p> |
