PURPOSE:To always smooth the motion of a stepping motor, by dividing equally an internal step interval corresponding to the time interval (step rate) of an external step signal, and adding a single phase excitation state between two phase excitation states. CONSTITUTION:The step rate is measured at a step rate measuring circuit 13 based on a step signal 11 from the outside, and a control signal in proportion to the rate is supplied, and a pulse interval from a step pulse generation circuit 14 is controlled with a timing in which the signal 11 is divided equally. And a phase generation circuit 15 is controlled by a step pulse from the circuit 14, and the single phase excitation state is added between the two phase excitation states, and the stepping motor 17 is driven, and ceasing point is increased twice, then, an angle of rotation per step goes to 1/2. The motor 17 can always rotate smoothly without impairing responsiveness by such jogging motion, and the generation of noise can be reduced. |
