PURPOSE:To quantitatively determine fouling, by providing a heating device equipped with a heater and a thermometer in a freely detachable manner and measuring a fouling degree by detecting temp. and measuring the quantity of the adherent substance on the heater. CONSTITUTION:A specimen is quantitatively supplied to a recirculation system from a specimen tank 1 by a conduit 13 and recirculated through a conduit 12, a heater 14, a conduit 11 and a cooler 6 by the operation of a quantitative pump 8. Fouling is measured by mounting the heater 2 freely detachable of a heating device 4 after a recirculation test of a definite time and measuring the wt. of the adherent substance on the surface of the heater 2. Since a thermometer 3 is provided to the heating device 4, the fouling can be also measured by measuring temp. By this method, a fouling degree can be quantitatively determined.
