PURPOSE:To correct the amount of exposure of a determining device for the amount of printing exposure finely and accurately by calculating the amount of printing exposure on the basis of a photometric value obtained by scanning on a film screen and calculating the corrected amount of exposure from a specific equation. CONSTITUTION:The photometric value DS is obtained by scanning the film screen and analyzed by an arithmetic part 2 to calculate the amount (x) of printing exposure and the corrected amount Z of exposure is found from the equation (1), performing printing 3 based upon the corrected amount. Then, individual arithmetic results obtained by analyzing (n) plate of film screens are denoted as xi (i=1-n) and maximum value determined by a visual decision for the individual film are denoted as yi (i=1-n). In this case, coefficients K0 and K1 are calculated from equations (2) and (3). Consequently, the amount of exposure of the determining device for the amount of printing exposure is corrected finely and accurately. |
