PURPOSE:To contrive a simpler and smaller moving mechanism, by movably disposing a platen so that only the platen must be moved for opening and closing a feeding passage for a printing paper. CONSTITUTION:Bases 13 are fixed to both end parts of a platen 10. The bases 13 are so disposed that they can be moved upward and downward while being guided by left and right pairs of guide pins 14a, 14b fixed thereto and left and right pairs of guide holes 5a, 5b bored in both side walls of a casing 5. The lower guide pin 14b is fitted in a cam hole 15a formed in a platen-moving lever 15 on the outside of the casing 5. The lever 15, turnably supported by a support shaft 16 fixed to side surfaces of the casing 5, comprises a grip part 15b extended greatly in the radial direction from the shaft 16, and a sectorial part 15c in which the cam hole 15a is bored in a partly spiral form for gradual variation in the distance from the shaft 16.
