The invention relates to a fluorescent bulb 13, 15 provided with a cap 12 enabling it to be lit with an inductive ballast 32 by way of a fixing socket 23 with four contacts containing an anti-interference starter 24, 25. The bulb, consisting of a fluorescent 17 tube 10 to which is welded a stalk 1, 8, 18 carrying the discharge unit plus a stem 2 to 7, 9, is connected and retained by a fast luminescent bulb fixing, dubbed "FLBF", providing for its supply via four contacts, the starter being fixed in the socket of the system 23, 28. A clamping ring 26, 29, 30, 35 locks the cap in the socket. The bulb has no starter, it being possible to replace the latter in case of defect. The bulb has a single cap with 4 pins lit by starter. <IMAGE>
