PURPOSE:To remove copper ions at a relatively low temperature, by bringing an acidic solution containing copper ions and iron ions into contact with a chelate resin containing a specific functional group. CONSTITUTION:An acidic solution containing copper ions and iron ions at pH 5-8 and at 0-100 deg.C is passed through a resin column filled with a chelate resin containing at least one functional group (e.g. dithiocarbamate group) selected from functional groups of -SH and metallic salts thereof.
