PURPOSE:To display a stereoscopic picture only by one display device by finely dividing the picture display surface of one two-dimensional display device so as to alternately arrange areas respectively displaying a left eye image and a right eye image having a parallax between the right and the left. CONSTITUTION:The two dimensional display device 11 is divided so as to alternately arrange belt shape left eye image display area 12a and right eye image display area 12b set with a proper width and extending horizontally from an upper part to a lower part. In the front surface side of a phosphor 12, a polarizing plate 13 for the left eye image and a polarizing plate 14 for the right eye image are disposed before and behind in parallel. The light emission of the left eye image display area 12a is subjected to a polarization by the polarizing member 13'' of the polarizing plate 13 for the left eye image in a polarizing part 16 and the light emission of the right eye image display area 12b is subjected to the polarization by the polarizing member 14'' of the polarizing plate 14 for the right eye image in a polarizing part 17. An observer wears a polarizing spectacles using the polarizing plate having the same polarizing characteristic as the polarizing direction of the respective polarizing members as a lens and observes. |
