PURPOSE:To reduce manufacturing cost by reducing the number of drive sources, by providing a power transmission member, the drive member of a paper feed mechanism, a shaking lever and a change-over member for changing over the arrangement position of the shaking lever on a carriage. CONSTITUTION:The rotatory power of a rotary body driven by a drive source is transmitted to the ribbon take-up member 19 arranged on a carriage 3 through power transmission members 18, 24, 25 to perform the taking-up of a ribbon. The change-over member 26 operated with the driving due to the drive source selectively arranges the drive members 27, 28, 30 of a paper feed mechanism between a paper feed position and a stop position, the support member 6 of a printing head 5 between the printing position and release position of the printing head and the power transmission members 18, 24, 25 between a take-up position and a stop position through a shaking lever 33. Therefore, the taking-up of the ribbon, the release and pressure contact of the printing head and paper feed operation can be performed by one drive source. |
