PURPOSE:To enable a control to be carried out while the remaining amount of a photosensitive material is always determined, by providing a recording medium for recording data relating to the photosensitive material to be housed. CONSTITUTION:The data recorded in a magnetic card 3 in a photosensitive material housing 2 is read by a magnetic head 4 and stored in a control circuit 14. A signal corresponding to the feed amount of a photosensitive material 1 measured by an encoder 12 and a counter 13 is inputted to the control circuit 14, and the data for the remaining amount of the photosensitive material 1 at the completion of the preceding use, which is stored in the control circuit 14 among others, and the data fed from the counter 13 are operated to calculate the present remaining amount of the photosensitive material 1. The resulting value is displayed in a display part 15, and the data for the remaining amount of the photosensitive material 1 is recorded in the magnetic card 3. In this manner, if various photosensitive materials are used, the remaining amount of the photosensitive material can be always determined.
