PURPOSE:To make a fully extended, straightened wire electrode feedable and disconnection preventable, by installing a brake roller so as to cause the outer circumference to be situated on an extension of a straight line connecting two guides in an erosion part, and forming the diameter into being sufficiently large enough. CONSTITUTION:A brake roller 14 is made large in diameter than even before, and a roller 14 is set up on an extension of a straight line between guides 3 and 4 without bending a wire electrode, making this electrode so as to be fed in straightenedness. In consequence, in case of such a wire electrode as thick in its diameter, even if strong tension is added to it, a bend habit is not left behind on the wire, thus it is feedable to erosion parts 3 and 4 in straightenedness, and in case of a thin wire electrode, since the large diametral roller 14 is rotated at low speed, vibrations and tension variations being given to the wire electrode are lessened, making it perform its stable travel movement. Therefore, the electrode 1 is fed in a state of being extended in a stable straight line between these guides 3 and 4, and it is guided and traveled at the specified tension and speed, thus disconnection due to a short and concentrated discharge comes to nothing, and stable machine can be done and, what is more, accuracy of finishing is improved, besides an increase in erosion rate.
