PURPOSE:To increase a printing speed by making the tilting movement of a tilting body light, by a method wherein a body to operate in conjunction with each other is parallelly moved in the expansion and contraction direction of a piezoelectric element with respect to the support of a frame main body by the expansion and contraction of the piezoelectric element and the tilting body is tilted around the hinge part on the side of the support in integral relation to a connection part to allow a printing wire to advance and retract. CONSTITUTION:When a piezoelectric element 5 extends in the direction shown by an arrow A by the application of voltage, a body 14 to operate in conjunction is parallelly moved in the extending direction of the piezoelectric element 5 in a state supported by links 8, 9. With the movement of the body 14, the link 8 is tilted around the first hinge part 10 and a tilting body 17 is tilted in the direction shown by an arrow B in integral relation to the link 8. Leaf springs 18, 19 are elastically deformed in a curved shape by the tilting of the tilting body 17. The extension of the piezoelectric element 5 is markedly increased by the tilting of the tilting body 17 and the elastic deformation of the leaf springs 18, 19 and the stroke of a printing wire 21 necessary for printing is obtained. When the piezoelectric element 5 is shortened to the original state, the body 14, the tilting body 17 and the leaf springs 18, 19 are respectively returned to the original states and the printing wire 21 is retracted. |
