<p>PURPOSE:To produce a high-quality color filter with high productivity by immersing the color filter in a vessel contg. an org. solvent to swell and remove the whisker parts thereof, then immersing filter into a cooling vessel to remove the dust on the filter surface and drying the filter in a steam drying vessel. CONSTITUTION:An ultrasonic cleaning vessel 4 in which the org. solvent 1 consisting of an azeotropic mixture composed of, for example, freon 113 and methylene chloride and which contains a heater 2 and an ultrasonic oscillator 3 prepd. The org. solvent 1 is then boiled and the color filter 5 is immersed therein. Oscillation is applied to the filter by an ultrasonic oscillator 3 to swell and remove the whisker parts 6 around the filter 5. The filter 5 is taken out and is put into the cooling vessel 7 where the dust on the filter surface of the filter 5 is removed. The filter is then put into the steam drying vessel 8. The filter is cleaned and dried with steam in said vessel and thereafter, the filter is transferred into a dewatering vessel where the filter is cleaned. The cleaning operation is thus completed. The contamination such as the dust generated in the peripheral part of the filter 5 is thereby thoroughly removed and the high-quality filter easily obtd. with high productivity.</p> |
