The electrical connector has two mateable complementary elements, one of which carries an internally-threaded rotary locking ring 16 which engages with an externally threaded part of the other element. The ring includes distributed internal teeth, each of which has a ridge 30 separating a gentle-slope face from a steep-slope face with respect to the circumferential direction. The element which carries the ring is also fitted with embedded elastic blades 31, the ends of which interact with the root of the teeth in order to constitute a latching arrangement tending to prevent the ring 16 from unscrewing. Each blade has a circumferential contour length greater than the spacing pitch of the teeth and a shape such that, upon unscrewing, the ridge 30 of the tooth preceding the root where the blade is engaged, in the direction of unscrewing, bears on the blade in order to exert on it a bending moment tending to release the end of the blade from the root, the said bending moment being exerted with a lever arm which is very much less than the free length of the blade. <IMAGE>
